Located
just 1/2 mile south of Downtown Truckee on Highway 267, this park offers
62 acres of recreation facilities. These include large and small ball
fields, 4 picnic areas with tables and BBQs, a rodeo arena, nature
trail, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, amphitheater, tot lot,
skateboard park, disc golf course, and playground equipment. Most of
these areas may be reserved by application at the District Office at
least two weeks in advance of the requested date.
DOG OWNER RULES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All Dogs must be leashed at all times in all areas of Regional Park.
This ordinance will be strictly enforced from May 1-October 31. All
dogs must be under strict voice and visual control from November 1
through April 30.

PICNIC AREAS
3 separate areas available by reservation. The River Barbeque by the
Truckee River features a covered BBQ/picnic area. The Leisure area is
close to basketball and volleyball courts and has a large group
barbeque. The Rodeo area is nicely shaded with lawn & BBQ near the
multi-age playground equipment. Our playgrounds are smoke free.
A new Health and Safety code prohibits smoking or disposing of
any form of tobacco or tobacco related material within the confines of
any playground or sandbox areas in parks. Violators are subject to $100
fine.
NATURE & RIVER TRAILS
Our .8 mile nature trail winds through Regional Park, exhibiting 12
different native and naturalized plant communities of the Truckee area,
with picnic sites and benches along the way. The river trail provides a
connection to the beautiful Truckee River section of the park for
fishing, walking and just plain enjoying.
“SALTY” GEBHARDT AMPHITHEATRE
This landscaped bowl offers comfortable lawn seating overlooking a
generous stage above the Truckee River. The Amphitheatre may be rented
for weddings, concerts or special events
DISC GOLF
Bring your own discs & enjoy our 18-hole course overlooking the
Truckee River. Please leash your dogs and refrain from smoking.
RODEO ARENA
This regulation-size arena seats up to 4,000 and may be rented for
rodeos, concerts & special events.
SKATE PARK
