This program is designed as a first social preschool experience for children . Preschool is held in the Truckee Room at the Community Center on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Children are exposed to basic social skills, age-appropriate art and craft activities, stories, songs, discovery play, and outdoor experiences. Parents provide snack for the class on a rotating schedule. Potty trained children and those in diapers are welcome. Parents provide diapers (if applicable), extra clothes, and appropriate outdoor wear. Taught by staff trained and experienced in early childhood education. Registration is payable on a monthly basis.

 This program is designed to provide developmentally appropriate opportunities to build concentration, independence, self-discipline, coordination, social skills and creativity. Children freely engage in active exploration, allowing them to discover knowledge of the world through hands-on learning in a playful environment. Weekly theme-based curriculum is prepared to develop the whole child through exposure to basic concepts, skills, and exciting experiences. This program is held in the Donner Room at the Community Center, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Half day morning sessions are available. Children must be potty trained.

MUSIC, MOVEMENT & ME                                           AGES BIRTH-5

This award-winning 5-week program features Musikgarten’s completely integrated curriculum utilizing movement, singing, playing & nature to engage children in music-making & listening, while stimulating the parent child bond. The strongly aural focus helps Musikgarten students to excel musically, as well as enhancing cognitive, physical, emotional and social skills.

DATES: Tuesdays: July 1-29 OR   Wednesdays, July 2-30   Orientation for New Families: Wed., June 25, 9:15-10:15 am

TIMES: Infants (Birth-15 months): Wednesdays 10-10:30 am          Toddlers (ages 15-36 months): Tuesdays, 9:15-9:45 am

                         3 & 4 year olds: Tuesdays, 10-10:30 am                     Family Class (birth-5 years): Wednesdays, 9:15-9:45 am

FEES:: $75 per child + $28 to instructor for required materials.  All children attending need to be enrolled.

Instructor Rita Whitaker Haun is a professional musician, with over 25 years teaching experience, who loves sharing the gift of music.
